Jeffrey L. “Jeff” Furst, 61, of Creve Coeur passed away unexpectedly at OSF St Francis Medical Center on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Jeff was born on April 5, 1965, in Peoria; the son of Judson and Jeanette (Veatch) Furst.

Jeff worked 38 years over the road for RJR Trucking, until his health caused him to retire. Jeff loved all his time he spent on the road seeing our country making his way all over the continental United States. When Jeff wasn’t on the road he enjoyed fishing, loved animals, especially cats, but most of all loved to spend time with his family relaxing at home.

Jeff is survived by his daughter Shelby Furst and his grandson Jeremiah Williams of El Paso, his mother Jeanette Bloom of Spring Lake, his sisters Shelly (Scott) Walker of Washington, Tammy Buschman of Morton, his step-children: Danny Riberdy of Fairbury, Gregory Sedlock of Strawn, Mary Sedlock of Fairbury, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Jeff is preceded in death by his father Judson, and step-father Bill Bloom.

To honor Jeff’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded by Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. The family will host a private celebration of life at a later date.
