Jeanette B. Burroughs, 94, of East Peoria, IL, died at 6:38 am Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at her home.

Born on September 13, 1929 in Emden, IL to Christian and Magdaline Shuck Eichelberger, she married Kaywin R. Burroughs on January 30, 1949 in East Peoria, IL.  He preceded her in death on June 17, 2007.

Surviving are 3 children; Brenda (Michael) Neeble of Morton, IL, Linda Buttice of East Peoria, IL, and John (LuAnn) Burroughs of Murchison, TX, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 siblings; Robert (Nancy) Eichelberger of El Paso, IL, Grace Eskridge of Carlock, IL, and Gordon (Claire) Eichelberger of El Paso, IL.

She was preceded in death by 2 sister, Mary Meierhofer and Luella Ball.

Jeanette enjoyed being a homemaker and enjoyed time spent with her family.  In earlier days, she also enjoyed playing cards with friends.  She also was a longtime member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington.

Services for Jeanette will be private, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in El Paso, IL.
