Obituary EAST PEORIA-Jason A. Steen, 49, of East Peoria, died at 5:24 pm Sunday, August 26, 2012 at his home. Born on August 23, 1963 in Brunswick, GA to Harold and Patricia Jones Steen, he married Cindy Nance Bobbitt on June 5, 1995 in Gatlinburg, TN. Surviving are his wife, Cindy, his children, Stephanie (Scott) Coultas of Washington and Dan Bobbitt of West Peoria, his parents, Harold and Pat Steen of Washington, 1 sister, Ann (Steve) Bill of Washington, 1 niece, Starr Bill, and 2 nephews, Mark and Tony Bill. Jason loved being Grandpa to Dylan and Carter Coultas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Jason graduated from Washington Community High School in 1982 and from Bradley University in 1986 with a degree in engineering and manufacturing technology. He worked for Boeing Corp. in Seattle, WA and for the last 16 years he worked for Caterpillar Inc., where he currently served as a Senior IT Analyst, last working on Saturday. Jason was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel of Peoria and the Bible Study Fellowship. He enjoyed traveling with his family and participating in outdoor activities including horseback riding, biking and hiking. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Pastors from Harvest Bible Chapel will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.
