Obituary WASHINGTON-James F. Sullivan, 93, of Washington, IL died at 8:19 PM Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria, IL. He was born on August 31, 1919 in Piedmont, MO to Frederick L. and Louvina Hill Sullivan. He is survived by 1 son, Leonard (Sherry) Sullivan of Washington; 2 grandchildren, Mindy Sullivan of Peoria and Barry (Stephanie) Sullivan of Washington; 4 great-grandchildren, Kendrick Foster, Alexis Sullivan, Joslyn Sullivan, and Adalyn Sullivan. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Glen and his parents. James served in the US Army from 1943-1945, during World War II. He was awarded five Bronze Stars from battles in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe. James worked at Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria as a machine lubricator, retiring after 25 years. Graveside Services will be at 10 AM Friday October 26, 2012 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL. Pastor Jim Gorby will be officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.
