Obituary PEORIAa"James 'Jim' B. Olsen, 67, of Peoria, died at 8:01 PM on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at his residence. Jim was born on December 23, 1939 in Ft. Dodge, IA to James Burton and Maude Estelle (Brown) Olsen. He married Karen L. Didio on August 4, 1962 in Cedar Falls, IA. She survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Teresa (Kevin) Richards of Springfield, and Karina Olsen of Highlands Ranch, CO; 1 son, James G. (Amy) Olsen of Washington, 4 brothers, Dick and Don Carver, and Jerry and Stan Olsen, and 1 sister, Harriet Ohlerking; 6 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by 1 sister and 1 brother. He had owned several Shakey's Pizza Restaurants in the Midwest and later became a realtor. He was a member of Arrowhead Country Club. He had been an avid golfer and bowler. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was also a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Peoria, where there will be a funeral mass at 1:30 PM on Saturday, March 17, 2007. Fr. Don Roszkowski will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services from 12:30-1:30 PM. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Following the graveside service, we hope you will be able to join the family at Katie's Cafe in Washington, 306 Peoria St. (Phone number 309-444-7805) to share fellowship and memories and refreshments.
