James W. "Jim" Miller, 78, of Metamora, formerly of East Peoria, passed 4:40pm Thursday, December 18, 2025 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Jim was born September 23, 1947 in Lincoln, IL to the late James W. and Rachel L. DeGroot Miller. He married Sandra Felker on November 17, 1973 in Washington; she

preceded him in death on November 19, 2022.

Surviving are his children, Jim (Valerie) Miller of Elverson, PA and Amanda (Matthew) Clementz of Guyton, GA; grandchildren, Elsa and Mason Miller and Gavin and Addison

Clementz; sisters, Joyce (Larry) Gilles and Donna (Tim) Wilcoxen; and his step-father, Leonard "Blackie" Bachman.

Jim served in the United States Army for four years starting his service at Fort Ord in California, being honorably discharged in 1975. He was a proud Eureka College alumni and a 37 year Caterpillar employee until his retirement. He was a lifelong member of Sunnyland Christian Church and a founding member of the Fairlane Club of America. He loved classic Ford cars, taking special pride in his 1964 Fairlane and 1973 Grand Torino Sport while enjoying car shows and meets with his family.

A funeral service for Jim will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
