Obituary
Washington - James Marsa, 77, of Washington, Illinois and The Villages, Florida, died at 3:33 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Waterman Hospital in Tavares, Florida. He was born March 9, 1934 in Huron County, Michigan to Norman and Roberta Belle Henry Marsa. He married Marlyn Jean Judy on August 10, 1958 in Peoria, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of The Villages, FL; two daughters; Tamara (Ralph) Poche of Thibodaux, Louisiana and her children; Ralph Jr (Amber) Poche and Reese and Valerie all of Thibodaux, Kimberly (Matt) Madden of St. Louis, MO and her sons Sean and Billy Madden at home. One son; David Marsa of Durango, Colorado and his children Shannon (Mike) Bonn of Peoria Heights, IL and Adam Marsa at home. One great grandson Hunter of Thibodaux, Louisiana, one brother Jack (Donna) Marsa of Bad Axe, Michigan, and his stepmother, Mary Pittman (Andy) of Bad Axe, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Richard.
James graduated from National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL in 1963 and had a private practice in Washington for 17 years. In 1976 he started a career for Caterpillar Tractor Company in the lab and worked there until his retirement in 1998. He was a Veteran of the United States Army from 1955-1959.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, IL. Cremation has been accorded.
