Obituary East Peoria - James "Jim" H. Linck, 89, of East Peoria, IL died at 7:48 am Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Born on May 23, 1920 in Marion, IL to Daniel and Altha White Linck, he married Betty Lou Burgess on November 19, 1944 in Carterville, IL. She survives. Surviving are 1 daughter, Janis (Dennis) Meixsell of Peoria, IL, 3 brothers, Rex Linck of Sarasota, FL, and Jack (Ann) Linck and J.D. (Helen) Linck, both of Marion, IL, 1 sister, Wilma Miriani of Herron, IL, and 2 grandchildren, Lindsay and Logan Meixsell of Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Leroy. Jim graduated from Bradley University with a degree in Watchmaking and was a Professor at Bradley where he taught watchmaking. He later worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. at the Tech Center in Instrument Repair. He was an active member of the Hilton Masonic Lodge where he served as Past Master. Jim also was a member of the Central Illinois Banjo Club until he was physically unable to play. Services will be Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor Richard Rosenbush will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday, May 17, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roberts Cemetery in Morton, IL.
