James "Jim" Krulac, 83, of Washington, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
He was born in Peoria, IL on September 11, 1940 to Fred and Ada (Black) Krulac. He married Carol Jean Beeler on June 10, 1962 in East Peoria. She preceded him in death on October 19, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Alice Pintar; and four brothers, Robert, Eugene, John and Billy Krulac.
Surviving are three daughters, Kim (Stan) Kaniecki, Jeanne (Todd) Castor, Jamie (James) Stasiak; eight grandchildren, Marie Kaniecki, Carrie Kaniecki, Jacob Castor, Jeremy Castor, Olivia (Shen) Ni, Cathryn Stasiak, Nicholas Stasiak, Jason Stasiak; and one brother, August Krulac.
Jim worked as a carpenter at Wahlfeld's Manufacturing, later owning and operating Architectural Millwork Center in Peoria before retiring.
His main passions in life were woodworking, gardening and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 11am Monday, September 18, 2023 at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to OSF Peoria Hospice Community, Attn: Tiffany Pool at 2265 W. Altorfer Dr. Peoria, IL 61615.
