Obituary East Peoria- Jackie L (Jack). Stegmaier, 77 of East Peoria, passed away at 2:26 PM on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Jackie was born on August 3, 1935 in East Peoria to the late Henry R. and Stella Moushon Stegmaier. Jackie married Donna J. Goins, his loving wife of 54 years, on October 2, 1958 in East Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Rick David of East Peoria and Mike David of Bartonville; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, two sisters, Alice Arons of Reno, NV and Doris (Ralph) Dewitt of East Peoria; a brother, Donald Stegmaier of East Peoria, several nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Frank Arons. Jackie was a machinist for Laidlaw Wire Company for 10 years before working at Caterpillar Tractor Company for 25 years. He was a member of Joy of Jesus Lutheran Deaf Church. Honoring Jackie's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 N. Missouri Ave in Morton. Pastor Tom Phillips will officiate. Visitation will take place on Thursday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory of East Peoria.
