Jackie Noble Lukehart, Sr., 84, of Washington, passed away at 2:15am Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Washington Senior Living.

He was born June 20, 1939 in Peoria to the late Orville E. and Gladys DeMoss Lukehart. He married Darthey Parker on January 24, 1959.

Surviving is his wife, Darthey; his children, Flora (Randy) Gestrine and Jack (Erin) Lukehart, Jr.; granddaughter, Jacqueline Gestrine; great-grandsons, Noble and William; and his fur babies, Frigg and Dio.

He was also preceded in death by his siblings.

Jackie was an Army veteran, serving as a medic during the Vietnam era and also as a cook during his service with the National Guard. He retired from the Morton Caterpillar plant in 1999. He retired to Knoxville, TN, where he was a member of New Beverly Baptist Church until they returned to this area.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00am Monday, September 11, 2023 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fresenius Kidney Care in East Peoria.
