Jack Baechler, 64, of Washington, passed away at 4:15 pm Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at his home. He was born Oct. 25, 1953 in Peoria to Wayland A. and Jeannette Wayne Baechler. They both preceded him in death along with 2 brothers, Gene and Perry Entz; and canine companion, Bruiser. Surviving are 2 children, Alisa (Dewy) Baechler of Washington, and Benjamin Baechler of Bartonville; 4 grandchildren, Kolten, Mariah, Dakoda, and Ashton; 1 brother, George; and his 2 German Shepherds, Tank and Karma. Jack received his welding degree and worked as a welder and fabricator. He was a member of the Central Illinois Van Club, and loved to camp at Ozark Outdoors in Leasburg, MO. Memorial donations may be made to TAPS No-Kill Animal Shelter in Pekin. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 6 to 9 pm Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018 at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 616 W. David Street in Morton. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
