Obituary
EAST PEORIA--Irving Charles 'Butch' DuBois, 65, of East Peoria passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, March 11, 2011.
He was born May 4, 1945, in Plymouth, IL, the son of Charles and Grace DuBois. Irv married Barbara Cable September 3, 1965 and later married Linda Buysse on December 13, 1986.
Surviving are his mother, Grace DuBois and two sisters, Virginia Potter and Scharlene "Cookie" DuBois Akers (Jim Cook) all of Plymouth, IL; six sons, Irving (Kathy) DuBois and Gregory (Mary) Kerby, both of Washington, IL, John Kerby, Robert (Nancy) Kerby, Thomas (Joy) all of Texas, and Brad (Denise) Buysse of Mundelein, IL; three daughters, Laura (Bryan) Franklin, Kristal (Stuart) Parks both of Creve Coeur, IL, and Erin (Aaron) Von Holten of Springfield, IL; 16 grandchildren and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He now joins his father Charles, his beloved wife Linda, and infant granddaughter, Isabella.
Irv was a retired Teamster truck driver and a member of the Frank N. Nichol Masonic Lodge in Creve Coeur, IL.
He enjoyed volunteering for the American Red Cross and was a truck driving instructor at Illinois Central College for 10 years.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria. The Rev. Warren Turner will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by Masonic services, Friday, March 18, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
