Obituary Irma M. (Bischoff) Brown, 94, of Washington, Illinois died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, June, 11, 2017 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Born November 12, 1922 in Peru, Illinois to Rev. Martin L. and Minnie C. (Oehmke) Bischoff. She married Ralph W. Brown on November 25, 1945 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Peoria, Illinois; he preceded her in death on October 30, 2004. She is survived by one daughter, Lois A. (Rob) Lee of Aurora, one step-daughter Karen M. (Dr. Thomas) Murley of Bethesda, Maryland, and one son, Robert "Bob" (Connie) "Mick" Brown of Dunlap; one brother Ernie (Peggy) Bischoff of San Carlos, California; four grandchildren, Suzanne, Yvette, Scot, and Matthew; five great-grandchildren; sister in law, Shirley Bischoff Barber, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother Paul Bischoff, one niece, and two nephews. She graduated from Manual High School and worked for Caterpillar Inc. and The Tazewell County Reporter as a neighborhood reporter. She also worked as building secretary to the Principals at Beverly Manor and Sundoer Schools in District 50, in the cafeteria at Washington Community High School, and for WIRL Radio. She was long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Peoria, a current member of Faith Lutheran Church in Washington. She was a member many organizations, including the Good Sam Retirees of Illinois for over 20 years, Washington Colonial Campers for over 25 years, Home Bureau, and the Beverly Manor Civic Club. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. The Rev. John Rothfusz will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Washington.
