Obituary EAST PEORIAa"Irene A. Eberle, 80, of East Peoria, died at 6:25 AM on Monday, June 23, 2008 at Morton Villa Care Center. Born on June 16, 1928 in Peoria IL to Paul H. and Louise Anna Rose Gruber, she married Donald "Duke" B. Eberle on October 17, 1947 in Peoria. He survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Debbie L. (Jerry) McCool of Morton, and Brenda M. (Rich) Trout of Delavan, IL; 1 son, Donald "Duck" B. Eberle II of East Peoria; 3 grandchildren, Nick, Holly and Skyler; and 1 brother, Paul Gruber of East Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. Irene worked in the mailroom for Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 15 years and then worked as a cashier for Martin Superfoods in Morton for 25 years. She was a member of the Chicago Cubs Booster Club, and volunteered for AARP, Red Cross and RSVP. Irene enjoyed baking, bowling and traveling and was an avid baseball fan. She was of the Christian faith. A funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, June 26 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. Pastor David Gruber will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-6 P.M. on Wednesday, June 25 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
