Obituary
WASHINGTON-Helen F. Manier, 90, of Washington, IL died at 5:45 AM Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Washington Christian Village in Washington.
Born on September 7, 1921 in Herrin, IL to Ernest H. and Iva Lee Noonan Redman, she married Brooks Manier on March 22, 1942 in Searcy, AR. He preceded her in death on October 3, 2004 in Peoria, IL. She was also preceded in death by 1 daughter, Barbara Koch, 2 grandchildren, and 1 brother.
Surviving are 2 sons; Don (Pat) Manier and Gary (Lada) Manier, both of Washington, IL; 3 grandchildren, Amy (Shannon) Brown of Pegram TN, Brooke (Kyle) Wisher of Washington, IL, and Chase Manier of St. Louis, MO; 1 brother, Robert (Ann) Redman of Wetumpka, AL, and 3 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Cash, and Elle.
Helen worked for 15 years as secretary to the Superintendent of District 50 Schools in Washington. She was a member of Sunnyland Christian Church.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday, December 30, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Pastor Evan Williams will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the funeral home, where there will be an Easter Star Service at 6:45 PM directed by the members of the Order of Eastern Star Clover Leaf Chapter #1002 where she was a 50 year member, past Grand Lecturer, and past Worthy Matron.
