Obituary East Peoria - Helen E. King, 76 of East Peoria died on Wednesday August 17, 2011 at 7:40 AM at Washington Christian Village in Washington. She was born August 3, 1935 in East Peoria, IL to Charles and Helen Garrett Denicus. She married Gerald E. King in Peoria. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2010. Also preceding her in death were two sisters and one brother. Helen is survived by her three sons, Gerald E. King Jr. of Peoria, Jeff (Connie) King of Creve Coeur, and Richard (Tracy) King of Pekin. She is also survived by two brothers Clyde Denicus of East Peoria and Carl(Mary) Denicus of Washington state, and one granddaughter Haley King of Pekin who Helen was especially fond of. She retired from Bemis Bag Company in Peoria after 40 years of service. Helen enjoyed gardening, taking walks, and loved raising parrots and other pet birds. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM Tuesday August 23, 2011 at Roberts Cemetery in Morton for the inurnment of both Helen and her husband Gerald. Leo Dutton will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
