Obituary Harry "Fuzz" Weston, 78, of Washington, died at 3:45 PM Sunday, September 16, 2012. Fuzz died naturally while doing what he loved to do, working on the family farm with family close by. Born on July 18, 1934 in Kewanee, IL to Mervin and Jane Girven Weston, he married Dorothy F. DeKeyser on November 26, 1955 in Kewanee, IL. She survives. Also surviving are 6 children, Debbie (Mike) Cerone of Wheaton, Mark (Lori) Weston of Washington, Linda (Randy) Simpson of Winfield, Doug (Julie) Weston of Washington, Steve (Monica) Weston of Liberty Twsp., OH, Dan Weston of Washington; 1 brother, Jim Weston of Kewanee; 1 sister, Hester (Art) Thuerk of Safety Harbor, FL; 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was a US Air Force veteran. Fuzz worked for General Telephone later becoming Verizon and served as the area construction supervisor for the district, retiring after 36 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #100. Fuzz coached little league baseball for several years. He was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist who loved hunting, camping and fishing locally and in Canada. He was affectionately called John Wayne by his grandchildren, as a tribute to his attributes. There was no greater joy for Fuzz than doing activities with his grandchildren and teaching them the importance of family values. He was a great Papa. He also was a huge St. Louis Cardinal fan. Fuzz was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington where a Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM Thursday, September 20, 2012. Committal services will follow at Meadow Valley Center where military rites will be rendered. Cremations rites will be accorded following the services. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, with a prayer service and family tribute at 7 pm.
