Obituary Washington - Harry W. Larson, 87, of Washington, died at 6:15 PM on Friday June 20, 2014 at Fondulac Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in East Peoria. He was born on April 1, 1927 in Peoria to Harry W. Florence Gentry Larson. He married Alberta "Bert" Schick on September 6, 1969 in Glasford, IL. She survives. Also surviving are one cousin Pat Hager of Arbor Vitae, Wisconsin, one brother-in-law Dave (Juliet) Schick of Hanna City, IL, four sister-in-laws, Carol Schick of Morton, Evie Cool of Bartonville, Marlene (Roy) Struchen, of Rockwell, Iowa, Juanita (Harold) Vires of Bartonville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brother-in-laws Melvin Schick and Ed Cool. Harry worked twenty-two years for Reserve Supply Company in Peoria. He retired in 1989. He also enjoyed gardening, bowling and traveling. He loved his family and was a skilled woodworker who enjoyed remodeling and other projects around the house. He was a member Faith Lutheran Church in Washington where there will be a funeral service on Tuesday June 24, 2014 at 11 AM. Pastor John Rothfusz will officiate. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is handling arrangements. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
