Jim Druin (Harry D. Druin) was born in Peoria, IL to the late Harry and Virginia (Kelly) Druin on January 3, 1944.  Jim died at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria, IL on June 6, 2026 at the age of 82.

He married Kay Anderson in East Peoria and she survives, along with three children, Elizabeth Dawn LaHood, Christine Harrison, and Brett LaHood; grandchildren, Boone LaHood, Ashley (Zach) Bechtel, Brady LaHood, and Taylor Harrison; great-grandchildren, Rylann, Everley, and Emmett; and his sister, Judy Dentino.

Jim graduated from Bradley University.  After serving in the US Army, he joined the East Peoria Police Department, retiring after many years of service as Chief of Police.

He was an avid fisherman who could spend ten hours on a lake and come home and spend more hours making sure the lawn was perfectly mowed and trimmed.

Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.  Burial will be in LaPlata, Missouri at a later date.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
