Obituary EAST PEORIA-- Grover Gordon Railey, 82, died at 8:15 AM on Thursday August 20, 2009 at his residence. He was born on May 21, 1927 in Union Co., KY to Grover Cleveland and Pheba Elizabeth (Wade) Railey. He married Norma Reynolds in July of 1947 in Morganfield, KY. He later married Francis Yvonna Golden on July 7, 1975 in Shawneetown, IL. She preceded him in death on March 27, 2000. His survivors are 5 children John (Diane) Railey of Washington, Jack (Nancy) Railey of Pekin, Edmund (Sue) Railey of Morton, Starla (Terry) Berkley of Marquette Heights, and Teri (Charles) Pratt of Minonk, and Randy Railey of Lostant, IL; 2 step-children, Ralph (Mary) Brownlee of Creve Coeur, and Donna Zeglen of Puyallup, WA; his sister, Ebadean Overton of Washington; 16 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son Jay Dee Railey, grandson Terry Joe Berkley, 3 brothers Wade, Eldon, and Kenneth Railey. Grover worked as a Tool Room Clerk at Caterpillar until his retirement after 35 years, and was a member of the UAW #974. A service to celebrate the life of Grover will be held on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 10:30 AM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor Steve Hauter will officiate. Burial will follow at Fondulac Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2009 from 4-6 PM also at the funeral home.
