Obituary Greg Schlink, 58, of East Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in Houston, TX after a long and legendary battle. He was born January 12, 1960 in Peoria to M. Gregory and Clarice Strauch Schlink. They both preceded him in death along with a sister, Debbie. Greg married Kathy Best in Peoria on February 1, 1986. Surviving him are his wife of 32 years, Kathy (Best) Schlink and their two children, Courtney and Drew Schlink; along with two sisters, Peggie and Patty. Greg worked at Parson's Company for 37 years. He was of the Christian Faith, a member of the Catholic Church and attended Harvest Bible Chapel. His main passions in life were his family, faith, friends and "The Facebook." Greg's family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28th from 4 to 6 pm at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10 am Thursday at Harvest Bible Chapel, 401 Cimmeron Drive in East Peoria, with Pastors Tim Harkness and Kent Smith officiating.
