Obituary Gloria Sue Burke, 74, of Washington, passed away at 12:04pm Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at UnityPoint Health- Methodist in Peoria. She was born April 20, 1943 in Peoria to the late Benjamin F. and Jennie S. Hendrickson Miller. She married John M. Burke on May 14, 1962 in Peoria; he preceded her in death on March 26, 2002. Surviving are three sons, Ron (Diane) Burke of Burke, VT, Todd (Janet) Burke of Washington, and Michael (Deanna) Burke of Boise, ID; five grandchildren; two sisters, Becky Page-Shultz of Washington and Barbara (Boyd) Neaveill of Kansas City, MO; and many nieces and nephews, who lovingly referred to her as "Aunt Ghee". Gloria worked in the insurance industry for many years. She belonged to the National Association of Insurance Women and Insurance Women of Orange County, serving as president from 1999-2000. She enjoyed going out to eat with friends and family, movie time with her sister, Becky, and loved rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. A celebration of life reception will be from 2-4:00pm Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Meadow Valley Center at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Cremation rites have been accorded.
