Obituary Glenola Williams, 72, of East Peoria, passed away at 7:40 PM Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born November 29, 1942 in Hot Springs, AR to Calvin A. and Oneida Price Blagg. She married Vernon Williams Jr. on December 17, 1977 in Yates City. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Steve Williams and James Riddell; 2 brothers, and 1 sister. Surviving are her daughter, Jo (Don) Hostetter; daughter-in-law, Brenda Williams; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Denna Merritt and Renna Burk; and 2 nieces, Kay and Lee. Glenola worked as an accountant for R. Frietsch and Company in Bartonville and the Washington District Library before retiring. She was a member of the Eastern Star. Memorial donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation or Alzheimer's Association. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 PM Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Services will follow at 3 PM at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oak Hill at a later date.
