Obituary Glenda L. Roberts, 65, of Washington, IL, died at 2:30 am Thursday, March 3, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on September 4, 1945 in Aurora, IL to Frank and Mary Kuk Arend, she married Wayne Roberts on May 29, 1964 in Joliet, IL. He survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Wynette Roberts of Peoria Heights and Sandy (Dan) Lane of Washington, IL, 2 grandchildren, Christian and Wesley Lane of Washington, 1 sister, Jackie Cepeda of Aurora, IL, 2 brothers, Robert (Susan) Arend of Paynesville, MN and Royce (Kathy) Arend of Bristol, VA, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. Glenda's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the doctors and staff at Illinois Cancer Care and also the staff of OSF Hospice for their loving care during Glenda's illness. A memorial celebration of Glenda's life will be at 4 pm Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded.
