Obituary

Gerald Logue, 88, of Morton, formerly of East Peoria, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Villas of Hollybrook in Morton.

He was born to Edward and Nellie (Goodin) Logue in Fayette County, IL on November 17, 1936.  He married JoAnn Hanks on February 23, 1956.  She survives.

Also surviving are three children, Lynn (Jack) Speer of Lubbock, Texas, Gina (Mike) Felgenhauer of Eureka, Brian (Kellie) Logue of Granby, Colorado; six grandchildren, Joshua Morris, Stephanie Morris, Bradley Morris, Jennifer Felgenhauer, Ben Logue, Nick Logue; four great-grandchildren, Ayden Morris, Jillian Grebner, Harper Morris, Kennedy Morris; and one sister, Wanda Kerley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and six siblings, Eugene Logue, Patty Sullivan, Henry Logue, Gary Logue, Rita Williams, and Marcia Logue.

Gerald worked in machine repair at Caterpillar Inc. for many years before retiring.  He loved baseball and volunteered with East Peoria Baseball for several years.  Gerald discovered Zumba in his late seventies and loved to attend classes several times a week.

Cremation has been accorded.  There will be no services.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
