Obituary Washington - Gerald W. "Jerry" Crosby, 83, of Washington, died at 12:20 AM on Tuesday August 7, 2012 at The Grand Victorian of Washington. He was born on May 7, 1929 in Peoria to J. Dudley and Myrtle Dooley Crosby. He married Geteve Neff on February 12, 1959 in Peoria. She preceded him in death on December 22, 1984. Also preceding him in death were 1 stepson, Michael L. Stacy, 1 daughter, Barbara Ann Trowbridge, and his very special friend, Ruby Maxine Perkins. Jerry is survived by one stepson, Jon (Dorothy) Stacy of Madison, WI, 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corp. Jerry later worked for Sealtest in Peoria as a fruit processor for 32 years, retiring in 1987. After retiring he worked many years at JH Carwash in Washington. He was a member of Washington Presbyterian Church. There will be a visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington on Thursday, August 9, 2012.
