Obituary WASHINGTON-Genevieve Ann Donnelly, 91, of Washington, IL and formerly of Oak Lawn, IL, died at 8:15 am Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at her home. Born on May 3, 1919 in Chicago, IL to Konstanty and Stefania Zyzniewski Talaiko, she married Richard S. Donnelly on February 22, 1941 in Chicago. He passed away on October 23, 1982. Surviving are 3 children, Christine G. (Martin) Petit of Washington, IL, Darryl R. (Sylvia) Donnelly of Las Vegas, NV, and Patricia A. (Lawrence) Feher of Plainfield, IL; 7 grandchildren, David Petit, Jeanne Petit, Sara Petit, Claire (Lance) LaForge, Daniel (Holly) Feher, Genevieve (Edward) Kasza, and Anne Feher; 5 great-grandchildren, Alanna Feher, Ella Feher, Olivia Feher, Mckinley LaForge, and Greta LaForge; her beloved niece, Janice E. (Joseph) Fanelli; and also niece, Mary Catherine (Leonard Scezney) Hayden and nephews, Robert C. (Margrit) Parks and John W(Catherine) Hayden. She was preceded in death by 1 infant daughter, Elaine Ellen Donnelly, 1 brother, Walter L. Hayden, and 1 sister, Helen F. Parks. Genevieve was a secretary for American Motors and Oak Lawn Community High School. In recent years, she enjoyed volunteering in the library at St. Patrick School in Washington. Genevieve enjoyed the community in which she lived and belonged to the Cambridge Estates Homeowners Association. She also enjoyed participating in the Five Points 8:30 am water exercise class, was an avid reader, and had a special gift with all dogs. She was proud of her ability to continue to drive, was an avid shopper, enjoyed movies, and also enjoyed her time spent visiting at the Paradice Casino. Genevieve was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington, where a funeral mass will be at 12 noon Friday, March 11, 2011. Father Joseph P. Donton will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements. Cremation rites will be accorded after the mass and burial of her cremated remains will be at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL.
