Obituary KINGSTON MINES - Gary N. Eckart, 77, of Kingston Mines, IL, died at 6:03 pm Monday, October 10, 2011 at his home. The son of Leo Dale and Sylvia L. Krogmann Eckart Claybusch , he was born on January 30, 1934. He married Donna Rae Vermillion on January 25, 1954 in East Peoria, IL. She preceded him in death. Surviving are 1 daughter, Theresa Ewers of Chillicothe, IL, and 1 son, Gary (Pam) Eckart of Creve Coeur, IL 2 grandchildren, Joseph (Kelly) Ewers and Lynn (James) Isbell, both of Washington, IL, and 4 great-grandchildren, Paige, Keegan, Dylan, and Addison. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Leo Dale Eckart Jr. and 1 sister, Karen Eckart Hill. Gary was the owner/operator of Tazewell Cleaners of East Peoria for many years, and later the owner/operator of Sun Cleaners in Pekin and Bartonville, which is now operated by his son, Gary. He enjoyed spending winters in Zephyrhills, FL. He was an avid boater and golfer and enjoyed piloting his own plane. Services for Gary will be at 1 pm Friday, October 14, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor Kurt Mews will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
