Obituary Eureka - Freida C. Mogler, 95, of Eureka, formerly of Lester, Iowa, died on Saturday January 14, 2012 at 11:10 AM at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka. She was born on December 1, 1916 in Lyon County Iowa to Fred and Karoline Knobloch Metzger. She married Andy Mogler on November 5, 1950 in Lester, Iowa. He survives. Also surviving are three sons; Randy (Evie) Mogler of Morton, Russ (Linda) Mogler of Evergreen, CO, Jay (Holly) Mogler of Elk River, MN., two grandchildren; Luke and Morgan, two great grandchildren; Gabe and Katy, two sisters; Lydiann (Carl) Wyss and Pearline Streitmatter both of Washington, two brothers; Elmer (Marriann) Metzger of Lester, Iowa and Roy (Evelyn) Metzger of Bloomfield, Iowa, three sister in laws; Alice Metzger and Esty Metzger both of Lester, Iowa and Donna Metzger of Rock Rapids, Iowa and one brother in law; Russell Wuthrich of Bloomfield, Iowa. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter Elysia Karoline Mogler, seven brothers and two sisters. For the majority of her life, Freida lived in Lester, Iowa. At 92 years of age she and her husband Andy moved to Eureka. Freida enjoyed serving others and did this in several ways. She particularly loved baking dinner rolls and making preserves which she shared with many people. She loved her family and supported her church family in any way she could. The deepest joy she had in life was serving her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a member of the Washington Apostolic Christian Church, where a funeral service will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday January 17 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington and from 9:00 - 9:45 AM Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in the Washington Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge and to the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka.
