Obituary
WASHINGTON--Fred B. Walter, 91, of Washington, died at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Washington Christian Village in Washington, IL.
He was born on September 23, 1915 in Francesville, Indiana to Samuel and Elizabeth Hartter Walter. He grew up in Eureka, IL. He married MaryAdelleYeck from Roanoke on November 20, 1943 in Peoria. MaryAdelle preceded him in death on September 30, 2005.
Surviving is 1 daughter, Karen Gaiser of Centerville, OH; 2 sisters, Mary Fehr and Salome Schumacher, both of Eureka, IL; 1 granddaughter, Jill (Ron) Tinnerman of Centerville, OH; and 2 great grandchildren, Ryan and Grant Tinnerman, both of Centerville, OH.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Mike, Art and Dan Walter; 1 sister, Elizabeth; and his son-in-law, Carl Gaiser in 2000.
Fred was self-employed while living in Streator, IL for many years before moving back to Eureka where he lived at Maple Lawn Homes.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be graveside services at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
