Obituary East Peoria - Frances R. Wiegand, 95, of East Peoria, died at 4:23 PM on Monday January 14, 2013 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. She was born in Archer, Nebraska on June 7, 1917 to Ernest Nathan and Dorothy Frances Farnham Kiser. She married John Henry Wiegand on May 25, 1940 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1991 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, one sister and one brother. Frances is survived by three sons; Donald (Bettijean) Wiegand and Jim N. Wiegand, both of East Peoria, Jack (Paula) Wiegand of Deer Creek, one step-brother, Kurt Wallin of Hyde Park, MA, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Methodist College of Nursing in Peoria and worked as a nurse at both Methodist Medical Center and Washington Hospital. Later, she and her husband owned and operated Wiegand Concrete Products in East Peoria where she served as Executive secretary and Treasurer. She was a longtime member of Sunnyland Christian Church where she spent much time volunteering, and a former member of American Business Woman's Association in Peoria. She loved to pass time Crocheting. There will be a funeral for Frances on Saturday January 19, 2013 at 10 AM at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. Pastor Evan Williams will officiate.
