Obituary Washburn- Frances 'Franny' F. Evans, 84, of Washburn, IL died at 6:23a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on September 23, 1929 in Maryville, TN to Charles O. and Margaret Hatcher Stephenson. She married Ralph Evans. He preceded her in death on February 20, 2004. Frances was also preceded in death by her parents; two children, Joyce Bell and Robert Brady Jr.; a great grandchild, Evan Knoblauch; a sister, Virginia DelGreco; a brother, Charles Stephenson; and a daughter-in-law, Diane Brady. Surviving are her grandchildren, including Margaret 'Marji' Brady Wilcoxen (Colt) of Galesburg; Bob Brady (Laura) of Washburn and Susan Knoblauch (Herb) of Washington, whom she raised. Frances also had numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A longtime resident of Washburn since 1966, Frances previously worked at the Pere Marquette and later for Home Health Care for a number of years. She was also a member of the American Legion Washburn Post 661. Frances was of the Lutheran faith. The family would like to express warm appreciation and thanks to the staff of Washington Christian Village Nursing Home in Washington, IL for their kind and loving care of Frances. Cremation rites have been accorded. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family. Private family services will be held at a later date.
