Obituary Frances Anna "Max" Blume, 78, of East Peoria, peacefully passed away at 10:15am Saturday, April 9, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family, after a courageous 8 year battle with cancer. Max was born February 15, 1938 in Pontiac, IL to Kenneth and Henrietta (Brill) Crosiar. She married Robert F. Blume on April 7, 1957 in Streator. They enjoyed 59 years together as a loving couple. Surviving is her husband Bob; their children, Robert (Julie) Blume of East Peoria, Sally (Tom) Kelly of Chicago, Nancy (Mike) Watson of Dunlap and Kelly (Jeff) Albrecht of Dunlap; grandchildren, Jonathan (Jennifer) Iwert, Ashley (Mike) Beck, Emily and Kate Albrecht, Sam and Molly Royce, Curt (Jaclyn) Watson, Jen (Carlos) Perez, Brooke (Zach) Wicklund, Andrew and Lindsey Watson; great-grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Iwert, Ben and Hannah Watson, Ryan Wicklund, and Mikayla Perez; brother, Kenneth (Janice) Crosiar of Alpharetta, GA; niece and nephew, Sue (Nick) Kremer and Craig (Laurie) Hartter; and dear friends, Stanley (the late Ruth) Ransom. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Darby Diane Blume; and a granddaughter Megan Rae Royce. Max was an avid collector and was also very creative. She enjoyed gardening, bowling and watching Cubs baseball. Her sense of humor was second to none and was one of her defining characteristics. Her family would like to thank the staff of Maxim Healthcare, Illinois CancerCare, and UnityPoint Hospice for their loving care and support. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday April 12, 2016 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
