Obituary East Peoria - Floyd H. Schroeder, 70, of East Peoria, passed away peacefully at his home at 12:40 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2014. He was born April 22, 1944 in Peoria to Hermuth and Alma Backer Schroeder. He married Catherine Heppler in Eureka on August 10, 1988. She survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Brady (Lisa) Schroeder of Asheville, NC, Chantel (Tom) Hine of Coventry, CT, Hugh (Dawn) Roop of St. Louis, MO, Dawn (Greg) White of Mapleton; 5 granddaughters, Gabrielle Hine, Tabitha (Donnie) Copeland, Madelyn Roop, Karsen White, Macy Kehoe; 1 grandson, Gregory White II; 2 great-grandchildren, Shelby and Wesley Copeland; and 1 nephew, Donny Schroeder. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald; sister, Marilyn Gerdes; and 3 nephews, Terry, Dylan and Jordan Schroeder. Floyd worked at Bemis Bag Co. in Peoria for 36 years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and gardening. A Private Memorial Service will be held at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. .
