Obituary
CREVE COEUR--Floyd P. Alexander, 79, of Creve Coeur, died at 10:30 AM, on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born on June 1, 1928 in Peoria, Illinois to John and Leona Roe Alexander. He married Norma Jean Johnson on November 29, 1946 in Peoria, Illinois; she survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Patricia J. (Jim) Brown of Creve Coeur; his adopted daughter, Bonnie Greiner of Oregon, IL; son, Roger Lee (Bertha) Alexander of Creve Coeur; 3 brothers, Mike, Danny and Bobby Alexander, all of Washington; 1 sister, Dorothy Mock of Bloomington, IL; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Sherry Peterson, on July 7, 2007. He served in the Navy during World War II. Floyd was a Clerk for P & P Railroad, where he worked for 42 years. Floyd was a member of the VFW #814 in Peoria and the Moose Lodge in Peoria. He loved camping and watching the Price Is Right, and other game shows. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Roger Davis will officiate. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria, IL.
