Obituary Evylon V. Brown, 83, of East Peoria, passed away at her home with her family by her side on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 4:15 a.m. She was born June 8, 1932 in Adona, AR to Henry and Myrtle Ashley Shamblin. They both preceded her in death. She married Charles E. Brown in Piggott, AR on Oct. 28, 1950. He survives. Also surviving are 3 children, Charletta (Roger) Aylward of East Peoria, Maureen (Randy) Uphoff of Morton, Brent Brown of East Peoria; 5 grandchildren, Robert (LeAnn) Aylward, Tuesdee (Benjamine) Clausen, Brentny Brown, Rindy & Rhodes Uphoff; 2 step-grandchildren, Howard and Elizabeth Shaffer; 2 great-grandchildren, Louisa and Fiona Aylward; and sister-in-law, Agnes Hesselbein of Malden, MO. Evylon was a very good cook and worked for East Peoria Grade Schools District 86 in the cafeteria for 23 years before retiring. She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in East Peoria where her funeral service will be at 11 am Tuesday, June 7, 2016 with Rev. Fred Doughty officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
