Obituary
Evelyn A. Jobson, 91, of East Peoria, passed away at 2:00am Friday, January 15, 2016 at her home.
Evelyn was born in 1924 in Plymouth, England to the late James and Ada Mary Ann Ware. She married Cyril Jobson in Peoria; he preceded her in death February 20, 2006.
Surviving are their children, Patricia Beauclaire of East Peoria, Ed (Kelly) Jobson of East Peoria, and Michael Jobson of Mahomet; 3 granddaughters, Jamilyn (Matthew Thompson), Alexis, and Sydney; and 3 great-grandchildren, Tristan, Matilyn, and Jett.
Evelyn was a passionate musician all her life, and obtained her certification from the Royal School of Music in London. She taught piano to hundreds of students over the years, and was still teaching a month before her passing. She was also an accomplished artist and needleworker. Gardening was yet another passion and talent. Among other things, she grew beautiful dahlias and enjoyed time spent in the garden. Evelyn worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co., when she first came to Peoria, where she met her husband. She and Cyril went on to develop Walnut Hill subdivision in East Peoria. She later worked for many years at Hopedale Medical Complex.
A private memorial service will be held. Inurnment will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Pastor James Frye will officiate, and Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory, East Peoria, is serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southwest Indian Children's Fund or the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
