Obituary

Obituary Eula B. Hill, 86, of East Peoria died at 2:50 pm, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria while holding hands with her granddaughter and being told that she was loved. Born June 3, 1930 to Ernest and Hannah House Baker in Malden, MO. She married a couple of men in her youth that requires no acknowledgement; however, she was with her long time partner, Lt. Col. (Ret) William "Bill" Crawford for 36 years until his death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her father, her Beloved mother, Hannah Jones; one brother, Walter "Doc" Baker; two sisters, Beulah Noe, Bobbie Carroll; and one brother-in-law, Darrell Noe. Surviving are her sons, Allan (Becky) James, Samuel (Robin) Hill; her granddaughters, Jennifer (John) Henderson, LeeAnn (Hugo) Herrera, Kim (Ray) Carter-Casey and Holly Kent; one grandson, Shane Marit; and her darling great-grandchildren, Lauren May, Mia Herrera, Lyla Herrera, and Hugo Allan Herrera. She relished the time spent with her friends at their retirement breakfast club where she enjoyed a hot cup of black coffee and stories of their younger days. She undeniably made the world's best and prettiest Christmas cookies. She was never one to mince words and was honest, almost to a fault. She lived her life on her terms. She loved her family above all. Cremation rites have been accorded. Her Celebration of Life will be Sunday, June 4, 2017 from Noon - 3pm at Lake Camelot Clubhouse in Mapleton, IL. Inurnment will be with her mother at Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden, MO at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
