Obituary EAST PEORIA--Eugene D. Gadberry, 85, of East Peoria, died at 10:20 AM, on Thursday, November 22, 2007 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born on February 7, 1922 in Warrensburg, IL to Luther and Vida Earmel Gadberry. He married Carolyn B. Koller in 1942 in East Peoria, IL. She preceded him in death in 1978 in East Peoria. He later married Lois J. Thompson on February 14, 1986 in East Peoria. She preceded him in death on April 24, 2005 in East Peoria. Surviving is 1 daughter, Vicki (Wayne) Lambrich of East Peoria, IL; 1 step-daughter, Beverly Huffman of East Peoria, IL; 1 step-son, Larry (Diane) Wilson of East Peoria, IL; 1 sister, Norma Passow of Riverside, CA; 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. He served in the US Army during World War II. Eugene was a Turbine Operator for Cilco in the RS Wallace Station in East Peoria, IL, where he worked for 30 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in East Peoria, and was a member of the Cilco Retirees Club. Eugene enjoyed model railroading, and was an avid woodworker. He was always good with his hands, and was very proud to have built his own home, hammering every nail and laying each brick himself. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 26, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. The Rev. Dr. Alan J. Newhall will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria, IL.
