Obituary Ernest "Ernie" E. Troxell , 71 of Washington, passed away at 3:20 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on January 29, 1941 in Virginia, IL to the late Joseph and Evelyn Rogers Troxell. He married Jacqueline L. Dehart Florie, his devoted wife of 25 years, on December 20, 1986 in Peoria. Surviving besides his wife Jackie are four children, Gary (Becky) Porter of Pontiac, IL; Trecia (Steven) Moore of Pontiac, IL; Joshua (Heidi) Florie of Peoria, IL; Stephen Florie of Washington, IL; five grandchildren, Jessica, Nicholas, Josh Jr., Deisree and Sethe; four brothers and two sisters, JC (Sue) Troxell of Pekin, IL; Everrett Troxell of Honduras; Raymond Troxell of Norwood, IL; Bonnie (Dennis) Barthalamew of Sacremento, CA; Roger (Tracy) Troxell of Peoria, IL and Dawn (Dale) Littlefield of Normal, IL. Ernie worked as a Utility Line Foreman for Local 51 Contractors for 44 years retiring in 2006. Ernie enjoyed being outdoors with his part time job at the Peoria River Front. He was a very loving, devoted and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him but missed most of all by his canine companion, Bandit. Ernie served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam Era. Honoring Ernie's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Ernie's life will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 1 PM to 4 PM at his home, 404 Devonshire in Washington. Military Honors will be rendered at 3:20 p.m. by the Tazewell Military Rites Team. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.
