Ernest P. "Bud" Dhaese, 72, of Washington, passed away at 6 am Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018 at his residence. He was born Jan. 15, 1946 in Peoria, IL to Arthur Dhaese Sr. and Patricia (Alwan) Dhaese. He married Delores "Dee" Hale on April 13, 1974 in Washington. She preceded him in death on Oct. 28, 2016. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; and 3 brothers, Stan, Vernon, and Jim. Surviving is 7 children, Trisha (Rob) Faulkner of Flintville, TN, Corey (April) Dhaese of Flintville, TN, Marla (Don) Turbett of Morton, Randy (Lisa) Frost of Washington, Steve Frost of Murphysboro, Debbie (Jon) Carter of Washington, Shelly Howe of East Peoria; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; 2 sisters, Mourina (Harry) Sweet, Laureen (Gary) Johnson; and 1 brother, Art Dhaese Jr. Bud was a U.S. Marine Vietnam War veteran. He worked at Caterpillar Inc. before retiring. He was an avid Cubs and NASCAR fan. He also loved listening to music, especially the blues. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors will be held at 4pm Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018 at American Legion Post 318, 24 East Adams in Morton, IL. Pastor Bob Martin will officiate. Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. All are encouraged to wear Cubs and NASCAR attire. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
