Obituary Erma L. Kemper, 96, of Washington, passed away at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Washington Christian Village. She was born November 6, 1918 in Washburn, IL to Daniel Border and Lottie Bell Defenbaugh Henry. She married James A. Kemper in Bloomington, IL on April 5, 1942. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and five brothers and sisters. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Erma worked at Caterpillar Inc. before retiring. She was a member of Washington Christian Church. Private services were held at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington with Entombment at American Mausoleum in Peoria.
