Obituary Erika I. Yocum, of Washington, passed away at 2:50 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria with her family by her side. She was born July 21, 1926 in Pforzheim, Germany, the daughter of Arthur and Ida Wochele. She married Robert Yocum on January 1, 1956. He survives. Also surviving are her son, Bryan (Sue) Yocum of Creve Coeur; one niece, and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and infant grandson, Andrew Yocum. Erika was a homemaker. She formerly worked at A&W, Tally Ho, and Don's Restaurants in Washington before retiring. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Midwest Affiliate. Visitation for Erika will be from 12 Noon to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor's John Bates and Youngshim Mason officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
