Emma Louise Dafoe, 83, of Washington, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 1:40pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2023 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
She was born on August 13, 1940 in Marion, VA to the late John W. and Catherine L. Snider Fortner. She married Harold E. Dafoe, Jr. on March 17, 1972 in Fort Myers, FL; he preceded her in death on January 28, 1997.

Emma was raised in Virginia and West Virginia and spent much of her life in Florida until coming to Illinois to be near family. Here, she was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Pekin and attended Faith Church in Washington. She had a servant heart, whether she was caring for her family or others, but was also very independent and strong. She enjoyed spending time with those she loved, and especially enjoyed caring for her Grandchildren. Most of all, she loved the Lord with all her heart, soul, and strength. Emma leaves behind a legacy of deep faith, integrity, hard work, and love.
