Obituary EAST PEORIA - Emajean D. Stambaugh, 84, of East Peoria, IL died at 2:55 am Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Manor Care at Riverview in East Peoria. Born on December 23, 1927 in Owensville, IN to Leo and Nathalee Weedman Dyball, she married Gerald R. Stambaugh on August 27, 1949 in Owensville, IN. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2001 in Peoria, IL. Emajean is survived by 2 sons, Dewey (Carolyn) Stambaugh of Sycamore, IL, and David (Mary) Stambaugh of Washington, IL, 2 brothers, Bill (Caroline) Dyball of Owensville, IN and Jack (Lois) Dyball of Florida, two sisters, Mary Lou Smith of Roseville, IN and Sue (Larry) Chamberlain of Owensville, IN. Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents. Emajean worked as a teacher for many years. There will be a memorial service at 3:30 pm Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Rev. Dr. Joe Gardner will officiate. A memorial visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Morton at a later date.
