Elvira Thomas, 67, of Washington, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026 at her sons home in Washington.

She was born September 23, 1958 in Jackson, Mississippi to the late William Henry and Helena Josephine (Snapp) Boyd. She married

Robert Lee Thomas on Aug. 7, 1993 in East Peoria. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Keith and Billy Boyd.

Surviving are two sons, Randall Joseph Boyd, Nathan Jedidiah Boyd; four grandchildren, Chase, Autumn, Kayde, Levi; five siblings, Sarah, Cindy, LeAnne, Becky, David; and several nieces and nephews.

Elvira co-owned R.L. Thomas Disposal in East Peoria for 10 years. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and spending time outdoors. Her

greatest joy was her family whom she loved very much. She will be dearly missed.

Per her wishes, cremation has been accorded. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory

in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
