Obituary Elsie M. Lofgren, 101, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of East Peoria, passed away at 3:30am, Wednesday August 19, 2015 in Kansas City, MO. She was born October 26, 1913 in Sweden to Henry and Hilma Johnson Lindgren. She married Lloyd Lofgren on June 18, 1938 in Peoria. Surviving are daughters, Marilyn (Ronald) Franklin of Anthem, AZ and Glenda (Thomas) Reneau of Charlotte, NC; 6 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and 1 grandchild. For many years Elsie worked seasonally at Hiram Walker in Peoria. She was a charter member of Hillcrest Golf Course, golfing there for over 50 years, and playing on their Women's League. She was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Washington. Family was most important to Elsie; she was a loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday November, 7, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in Washington. Visitation will be 45 minutes prior to the service, beginning at 10:15am. Inurnment will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria. Pastor John Rothfusz will officiate.
