Obituary WASHINGTON - Elnora "Billie" Lester of Washington, IL, died at 9:50 pm Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in Germantown Hills, IL. Born on January 7, 1926 in Cambria, IL to Roy and Sarah MacNeil Hopkins, she married John Herbert Lester on July 20, 1945 in Peoria, IL. He died on October 23, 1982. Surviving are 2 daughters, Vicki Joyce (Stephen) Day of Fairfax, VA and Scheri Lee (Larry) Wigand of Lacon, IL, 2 sons, James Adrian Lester of Toulon, IL and Jeffrey Todd (Jeanie) Lester of Spring Bay, IL, 9 grandchildren, Kirpatrick Jon (Mina) Day of Arlington, VA, Katherine Ann Day of Maui, HI, Michael John McCann , Apryl Michelle McCann and Ian John (Barbara) Lester all of Peoria, IL; Eric Neal Lester of WA, Haley Nicole Lester , James David Lester and Taylor Renee Lester all of Sunnyland; and 1 great-grandson Liam Lake Day of Arlington, VA. Also surviving is her niece, Sally Rohn of Springfield, IL. The family would also like to thank Jeanie Lester, her caregiver. She was preceded in death by 3 children, John Randall Lester, Joseph Patrick Lester, and Kelly Jolene Lester, and 2 sisters, Helen and Laura Mae. Billie was an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington, where she was a Sunday morning greeter and also helped with the parish register in the church office. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton, IL. Rev. Alice Gwin will officiate.
