Obituary EAST PEORIA--Ellen E. (Libby) DasGupta, 60, of East Peoria, died at 8:45 AM, on Monday, July 9, 2007 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born on June 6, 1947 in Minier, Illinois to Walter and Jeanette Wilson Heerde. She married Santosh DasGupta on March 9, 1980 in Concord, CA. He preceded her in death in July 9, 1997. Surviving is 1 son, Shawn (Becky) DasGupta of East Peoria, IL; her twin brother, David (Marsha) Heerde of Atlanta, GA and brother, Tom (Karen) Heerde of Armington, IL; 4 sisters, Judy (Ken) Huff of Bloomington, IL, Carol Saville of Peoria, IL, Mary (Claxton) Cantrell of Peoria, IL, and Linda Stokes of Peoria, IL; and 15 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Ellen was a registered nurse with OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where she worked in the pediatrics department. She also worked for various printing companies as a graphic designer in the Peoria and Pekin area. Ellen was a member of the Pentecostals of Peoria, where a memorial service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 21, 2007. The Rev. Jeff Lashley will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ellen DasGupta Memorial Fund in care of any CEFCU.
